This policy explains what personal data Al Mujassam Architects and Engineers LLC ("Al Mujassam", "we") collects through almujassam.ae, why we collect it, who receives it and what you can ask us to do with it. It covers this website and the enquiries you send us through it, by email, by phone or on WhatsApp.

Who we are

Al Mujassam Architects and Engineers LLC is an architecture and engineering consultancy in Dubai. We decide how the personal data described here is used.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry form

  • Your name, phone number and email address.
  • The type of project or service you choose, and any message you write.
  • The page you send the form from and the language of that page.
  • How you reached the site: the referring page, the first page you landed on, and any campaign tags in the link (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term and utm_content). We remove advertising click identifiers, such as gclid or fbclid, before these addresses are sent.

When you browse the site

  • Your IP address. Cloudflare Turnstile uses it to check that a form is sent by a person, and our server keeps it in memory for 10 minutes to limit repeated submissions.
  • Standard server logs kept by our hosting provider: IP address, date and time, page requested and browser type.
  • Usage data collected by Google Analytics: pages you view, how long you stay, the page that sent you here, your device and browser type, your approximate location (city or country, worked out from your IP address), and actions such as starting or sending a form, or tapping our phone number, email or WhatsApp link.
  • Usage data collected by Microsoft Clarity: clicks, scrolling and mouse movement, which Clarity turns into heatmaps and session recordings that show how visitors move through a page. Clarity masks what you type into form fields, so its recordings do not show your name, phone number, email or message.

When you contact us directly

  • What you send us by email, by phone or on WhatsApp.

We do not ask for ID numbers, payment details or health information through this website. Please do not include them in a message.

Why we use it

  • To answer your enquiry, arrange a meeting and prepare a proposal.
  • To send you one automatic email confirming that we received your request.
  • To understand how visitors use the site, which pages and campaigns bring enquiries, and where a page is hard to use, so we can improve it.
  • To protect the site and the form from spam and abuse.
  • To meet our legal, tax and accounting duties if you become a client.

We use your data because you ask us to contact you, to take the steps you request before a contract, and where UAE law requires it. We do not sell your data. Sending a form does not add you to a newsletter or a marketing list.

Who receives it

  • Our office team, who receive each enquiry by email and reply to you.
  • Our email provider, which delivers the enquiry and the confirmation email.
  • Our customer relationship management (CRM) system, where we keep track of enquiries.
  • Cloudflare, which runs the Turnstile spam check.
  • Google, which runs Google Analytics, and Microsoft, which runs Clarity. Both receive usage data from your browser and process it under their own terms.
  • Our hosting provider, Hostinger, which runs the website and keeps the server logs.
  • Government authorities, courts or our professional advisers, when the law requires it or to protect our legal rights.

If you become a client, your project agreement explains how we share project information, for example with Dubai Municipality and other approval authorities.

Data stored outside the UAE

Some of these providers may store or process data on servers outside the United Arab Emirates. When that happens, we rely on the contractual and security safeguards those providers offer.

Cookies and browser storage

When you first visit, a cookie banner asks whether you allow analytics and marketing cookies. Both are off until you choose. We load Google Analytics through Google Tag Manager.

  • Analytics cookies, from Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, are set only if you allow analytics.
  • Marketing cookies, which let advertising platforms such as Google measure whether our ads lead to enquiries, are set only if you allow marketing.
  • If you decline, Google's tags still send basic signals without cookies, such as the page viewed and the time of the visit. Google uses these to estimate visit totals without identifying your browser.
  • If you decline, Clarity still records how each page is used, without cookies. Each page view gets its own ID, so Clarity cannot link the pages you visit or recognise you on a later visit.

These run without a choice, because the site needs them or they set no tracking cookies:

  • The enquiry form keeps a small record of how you arrived (referring page, landing page and campaign tags) in your browser's session storage. Your browser deletes it when you close the tab.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile reads technical signals from your browser to tell people from automated bots.
  • Videos hosted on YouTube load from youtube-nocookie.com only after you press play.
  • Our hosting and security providers may set cookies that are strictly needed to protect the site.
  • Fonts, images and our own videos are served from this website, so viewing them sends no data to other companies.

To change your choice at any time, use Cookie settings at the bottom of any page. To stop Google Analytics on every website, you can install Google's opt-out browser add-on. Declining cookies does not stop the site or the enquiry form from working.

Each provider explains how it handles data in its own policy: Google, Microsoft and Cloudflare.

WhatsApp, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google and the government websites we link to have their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for how they handle your data.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that do not lead to a project: for as long as we need to reply and follow up, then we delete them.
  • Client records: for the length of the project and afterwards for as long as UAE commercial, tax and professional rules require.
  • Server logs: for the period set by our hosting provider.
  • Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity data: for the retention periods set in our accounts with those providers.
  • IP addresses used to limit repeated submissions: 10 minutes, in memory only.

Your rights

Under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021), you can ask us to:

  • Tell you what personal data we hold about you and give you a copy.
  • Correct data that is wrong or incomplete.
  • Delete your data, unless the law requires us to keep it.
  • Restrict or stop our use of your data.
  • Give you your data in a structured, machine-readable format so you can pass it to another organisation.
  • Stop using your data on the basis of your consent. This does not affect what we did before you withdrew it.

To make a request, email info@almujassam.ae. We may ask you to confirm your identity first. We aim to reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the UAE Data Office.

Security

The form sends your details over an encrypted HTTPS connection, every submission passes a spam check, and only the staff who handle enquiries can see them. No way of sending data over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee it.

Children

This website is meant for adults planning building projects. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we post the new version on this page and update the date at the top.
